Job Description:

Saimerak Pharma is seeking a talented individual to join our Process development and Drug discovery group.


We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Sr. Research Scientist to support small molecule, drug discovery and process development . The qualified candidate will work closely with our established in development of Organometallic catalysts and their application in organic synthesis. Catalysts prepared and investigated include palladium pi-allyl systems, palladium bisoxazolines, palladium phenanthrolines and palladium pyridyl-oxazolines.


The selected individual will work closely with process development team and interpret data which will be presented in a multidisciplinary team environment.



Key Responsibilities:


Responsibilities included development and synthesis of new products from lab scale to kilogram scale, identifying new potential products with the goal of expanding products offered, training of chemists and trouble shooting. Projects included (but not limited ) phosphorus compounds, chiral ligands and chiral synthons derived from amino acids and strong analytical techniques including 1H-NMR, HPLC,LC-MS/MS in particular Scientific mentorship and supervision of laboratory personnel.



Minimum Qualifications:

  • PhD in Organic Chemistry plus a minimum of 8+ years of direct experience working in the Pharmaceutical Industry.
  • Direct work experience in the field of Drug discovery, process development with strong analytical expertise.
  • Must be highly motivated, organized with excellent Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Chemdraw.
